I think that the sporting goods industry is a huge industry with the potential to make a lot of money. i think that sales are increasing. when i go to a sporting goods store i am starting to see more people than i have in a while. on the other hand i have seen many sporting goods stores close down which could show that the sporting goods industry is getting worse not better.
ReplyDeleteI feel that models does the best job marketing itself, i have seen more models advertisements on tv, i have gotten more advertisements in the mail from models. I dont think that there is anything wrong that they are doing, or anything that they could do better. Models is also my favorite sporting goods store, they tend to have exactly what i need whenever i need it. they might not be as big of a store or have as many products as Dick's or sports authority, but i feel like they have a friendlier atmosphere and everything in the store is easy to find unlike some of the other big stores.

I think the sporting goods buisness is a gold mine in itself for great production. I think the conumer wants the best equipment for the best deals. i personally know that i never enter a sporting goods store with out leaving with a new piece of equipment. i think the video advertising is what sparks such great sales.
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorite sporting good store is models. i am a loyal customer because of its constant sales and discounts on equipment. they have because of their sales developed a frequent shopper. they have a catchy slogan and also support local little league teams which is GREAT publicity. Gotta go to Mo's.
The sporting goods industry is most definitely on the rise. Due to the fact that most of the entertainment now a days revolves around sports. The generation that is coming up is fully involved in the sports era. The sporting good stores are beginning to increase revenue even in a tough economical time. This is astonishing because to me i would think that they would be struggling, but the sports world will never struggle.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the sporting goods industry does a great job in keeping up with the seasons. They always have the maximum supplies for the respective season in play. I feel they do a solid job of advertising and an amazing job of having performance ready products. The sporting goods industry is most definitely going to the next level and that brings a smile to my face.

I feel that sporting goods stores are going down hill.Most of the stores around here are going down. The Stores like Dicks that are great stores are on the rise. The more of the kids that play sports have gone up therefore more and more people are buying sporting goods.
ReplyDeleteThe sports good stores are on the rise because of all the new people and there kids that are playing sports. If it is baseball season the stores have baseball stuff. whatever sport season it is the stores have what they need to get the people to buy the items they need.
Today many athletes are looking for sporting equipment. That is why there are sporting good industry's to fit the wants and needs of athletes. As a sporting good industry you would have to allow to give discounts to the customers to make them feel happy about what they bought, but also can be limited. I notice that when I visit a sporting good industry I see most of the items in the store for discount prices which is good for the customers but no so great for the company.

sporting goods will always have a demand whether it be a running shoe that is comfortable to a set of pads for laccrose and all of the above. people will always want to play ports and need the gear to play the sports that they love or is their passion. if the recession gets worse then organized sports will see a decline in the amount of people playing because the average family may not be able to afford the fees that come with these sports. when i go into a sporting goods store i see new products everytime i walk into the store. i see people looking at these products that they can't afford but will come back for that product because its the new product that "makes you perform better".
ReplyDeleteDicks sporting goods is on the rise i think because what is not being factored is that in the newly realeased movie Iron Man 2 Tony Sark was drinking froim a dicks bottle with the name facing the camera which is huge publicity for them in the end.
my favorite sporting goods store is Sports Authority because everytime i go i recieve great service from the people working and they use great marketing techniques by showing each product they sell and the top sellers up front for the consumer to look at first. i think that they could have a few more sales on their products but other than that they do a fantastic job in my opinion.
The sporting goods industry has been successful for many years. They sell items that are related to all sports and endorsed by high ranked athletes of specific sport. Baseball bats are a long time product that has been present for many years and that only one example. Since this year is anticipated to be of good economic levee, sporting good stores have increased prices and the supply of products in their stores. It is easy to find any item in a store at this time unlike other years.
ReplyDeleteKmart is a better sporting goods store if it fits in the category. The store has maintained its normality despite the economic crisis. It is also located nearly all corners of the country. I think Kmart are doing a pretty good job in terms of distributing sports products but it’s not my favorite since I don’t focus much on sports. Kmart would do much better if they advertise
The sporting goods industry is definitely at its peak or almost there. Mainly that at this time most of the entertainment if not all revolves around sports. The upcoming generations that are on the raise are fully involved in the sports era. The sporting good stores are beginning to increase revenue even in a tough economical time, although some are closing. This is kind of breath taking to me seeing that everything is shutting down and on the decline but the sports industry continues to stay strong.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Modells and Dicks Sporting Goods promote and market their company the best. Maybe this is because its more than other sporting stores because it is near my house. I just feel like they are always sending me emails and promotions and coupons to my house about stuff. I know its always nice to get 20 percent off, a penny saved is a penny earned. These two are doing well with promoting and stuff, you really can’t as a store to move its location for one person, so I guess they are just fine. I think they are pretty much right on the ball for me, I don’t really have anything I want to change about them so its cool. I think if I had to pick a favorite it would be Dicks Sporting Goods because its huge and has almost every sport you could think of in there, although Modells is closer to my house and is way more convenient.

They sell all kinds of things for every sport and hobbies that involve sports. If you are a sports fan i think Dicks Sporting Goods will be the best store for to go to.

I think they do the best job beacuse the have good service and really good products for whatever sport you need. They also sell shoes and clothes. When you walk in the store someone immediatley walks up to u and greets you and says if you need anything just let me know. The thing they could do better is rack some of the clothes back up that are in the wrong place and are somtimes on the ground.

The sporting goods industry, in my opinion, is very beneficial. As a whole, no matter the brand or company, sporting goods are always needed nation wide. Anyone that plays a sport or is involved with athletic activities is most likely to purchase sporting goods products. As one visits a sporting goods store now, it is likely that prices are rising because the sporting goods industry had a decrease in profits being made.
ReplyDeleteI think Cabela’s sporting goods does the best job marketing itself because they have shown to make the most increase in profits and that’s probably due to their new marketing strategy. It’s summer time and more people are in the mood to buy products for any summer sports or activities. They sell their products well and to improve they could market with other strategies to get customers into their store daily. I do not have a favorite because I do not play sports or need any particular equipment to work out when I do.
