Lance Armstrong has many oppurtunities to market himself professionally and he uses them to his advantage. He markets himself as an athlete very well compared to most. He has kept a clean slate for himself and uses many endorsements to not only help himself but many companies. Armstrong mainly wants to help sprouting companies which usually helps him in the long run.
ReplyDeleteWhen Armstrong makes deals and endorsements with these company I think he is absolutely doing the right thing. He knows what he is doing and listens to people when they say he is over doing it by pushing people to buy the product. He markets himself the right way and has helped the companies a great deal by endorsing. Armstrong over all is a great guy to market a product wtihout doing too little or too much. The company and Armstrong both benefit, but in the end it mainly helps the sales of the company rise.
Lance Armstrong is more than just an athlete. He is an entrepeneur and sopkesperson. He is one of the top twenty people followed on twitter. He markets himself very well, with companies like FRS and Honey Stingers. He helps small companies become global and very successful. He also is endorsed by large compaies like Nike and is an overall great role model.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsements deals are great. They help everyone around them. Without endorsement deals the public wouldnt know half of the companies that sponsors events. When companies sponsor a popular athlete their product is publicized much more. I believe the athlete sponosoring the product recieves the most oout of the deal.

i look at lance armstrong as more than professional biker. he is more like a walking advertisement with all the sponsors he has and all his endorsement deals. He is also a good role model because he hasnt had any major problems or big media scares as of recently. he has a lot of big companies endorsing him as well like Nike.
ReplyDeleteEndorsment deals are a good thing for everyone involved with them. they help the athlete with gear and helps get the product name out. Endorsements help the public know what the good brandss are because if their wasnt any endorsements then the public wouldnt know most of the companies. i dont really see a bad side to an edorsement because everybody wins.

lance is known for his bike skills.he has alot of followers where every he goes.he does a good job on marketing himself. like the honey stingers. he has alot of succes in bringing companiesbecome more international. he is a great role model and is endorsed by nike which is a large company.
ReplyDeletei think people who endorse him will have a great business if they work with him.endporsements help people know what else is out there other than what they already know. its a good thing to have endorsements, so that their product can become more famous or more marketable.i think its a win-win situation between the endorsements and the people who are getting endorsed.
lance Armstrong is taking a different approach than most big time athletes take. He is marketing brands that he believes in rather than bog companies that will make him a lot of money. I think that that is good for him and especially for small businesses. The small businesses are really the ones that need the help. Bigger businesses are already out on the market but these smaller businesses could really use the help of a big name athlete.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsements are a good thing. I know when i see a commercial with an athlete I recognize I generally pay at least a little attention to it. Usually just seeing an athlete I recognize is enough for me to watch the commercial or at least recognize the product. I tend to then recognize the product with that athlete or the athlete with the product. I think the athlete benfits most though just because of the amount of money athletes get paid to do the endorsements.

Lance Armstrong is a terrific person, athlete and role model. Anything he chooses to endorse will do well. Therefore it is all up to him what he chooses to endorse because its not like he desperately needs the money. He has validated himself in his sport and is known worldwide so it isnt like he needs exposure either.
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals are a great thing. They help out both the athlete and the business. The business gets more sales and the athlete gets more exposure and money. It is a win win for all those involved. I think ultimately the business gets more out of it though which is the way it should be.

Lance Armstrong is the seven time winner of the Tour De France, and not only does that make him a 'celebrity' (professional athlete to be exact), his struggle with cancer was also in the light, which he used to his advantage as well as giving back and helping within the community. He has professionally marketed himself by being accosciated with Nike (Livestrong)[Armstrong Foundation]; and two other brands not as popular as Nike. Honey Stinger and FRS Energy, which will now probably make those two businesses more profitable and Lance more marketable to where those products are popular. He says, "you've got to be authentic."
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals are usually a good thing for both parties- the sponsor gets to advertise their prodcut which will be seen by at least thousands of people, and then will create an impact on the consumers which will increase revenue/popularity for them. Also, for the athlete/person/thing promoting the product will make money from the products that they endorse, as well as the deal they have with the said company. So, it is about an equal draw as to whom benefits more, and is usually a good thing for both.
I personally think Lance Armstrong is marketing himself very professionally because he only endorses things that he believes in. If it's a product that he believes can grow and at the same time, he personally likes it, he won't hesitate to help the company. To me, that way of marketing the product and himself is at a very professional level. Instead of just helping big name companies for the money, he goes for small businesses that he truly believes in and likes their products.
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals are good, because it not only benefits the athlete who is trying to keep a good image but also the company because they will mostly get more sales. Endorsements can be bad and good. It will mostly be good, unless the athlete crosses the line or the company crosses the line with advertising the product and the athlete so much. Like Armstrong said, it can sometimes seem like they're shoving it down their throat. Another down part to it is, if the athlete does something to jeopardize his image then the product could possibly go down with it.

lance armstrong is more than one of the best proffesional bikers in the world he's a hero to many people in the world and he can be a good spokesman. He is made of advertisement he's probably one of the most advertised athelets in the world. He does an outstanding job of marketing himself in public. Every athelete goes threw a bump in their life he hasnt.
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals is a very good thing to me because you make more money, And they help you with your shoe deal or clothing line or other people buisness i think armstrong would be a good person to endorse your product with
I that this will turn out good for Lance Armstrong because people will see him as a nice guy, by being an "advertisement" for a little company that now one has pretty much heard of. Also people get tired of seeing athletes being advertisements for big companies like Nike and Gatorade because people want to see businesses get some credit for the things that they make. If this goes well i think that he will advertise for other businesses too.
ReplyDeleteI think that in some ways endorsement deals are good because they show people about companies and businesses that they haven't heard of or they never buy stuff from. I think that both they company and the endorser benefit from these endorsements because the company gets the customers and the endorser gets the publicity. But the company gets earns a tad bit more because of the money that he gets form the customers.

I think that it is a good thing that lance armstrong is endorsing products he says he believes in rather than big products that are just names. It is unusual to see athletes endorsing companies that may not be brand name. I believe that he has a point about twitter becuase if you followers want to follow you as the person not as the advertisment. another things is that he is very popular and many people look up to him. Another thing that he has going in his favor is that his line of live strong profits goes to his charity.
ReplyDeleteit think endorsment deals are a good thing for everyone. It enable the companies to market their product to more consumers. I think that the companies benifit more from the deals than the consumer. If consumers see their favorite athlete wearing something or using something they want to have the same thing but in realiy the only reason that they are using it is becuase they are getting paid to use that product. But when you buy it you might not be getting the best product, you were influenced to buy it by the company becuase of the athlete wearing it.
Lance Armstrong is a famous cyclist. People who arent into biking know Lance Armstrong. Maybe because hes a great athlete and a good role model. Him having a good reputation in his career and his life really affects how people will see him as. He is a good role model, he doesnt have many things that the mdeia tries to dig out like scandals like other celebrities and athletes. He has an endorsement deal with honey stingers which is nutritional bars.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsement deals are always a good thing because it helps on both sides of it, the athlete and the company. Athletes do it to get sponsored and to get help with equipment and fame. in my opinion Lance Armstrong doesnt need any more attention from fans because hes diong well as of now. But i think for him, the company is going to get the most benefit because Lance is a good choice to partner with.

Lance Armstrong is more than just a professional biker. He is a Hero too many people all ages worldwide. Lance Armstrong would be the typical role model because he has done so much to make a difference even with the battle that he is facing. He has sold 70 million live strong bands and I guarantee that little band mean't something to many people than just a cool bracelet. Hes going through many challenges with his health issues fighting cancer and for him to still come out on top as a winner is admirable.
ReplyDeleteArmstrong wanting to endorse small buisnesses and companies says alot about his character as a person in general. Its says that hes not doing this to be cool and popular and only suooprt the big companies like Nike, but he still has heart for the little companies and wants them to grow also. Armstrong is a great human being and anyone would love him for marketing and advertising.
I think Lance Armstrong is doing a great job in the marketing world. I think it is good because he is doing business around the United States. He was a spokesperson for FRS Energy, a company that makes energy drinks and chews. Lance Armstrong is doing good because he is marketing himself throughout the world. He will help the company make more money. He will also help Honey Stinger company grow and make more profits.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsement deals are good. Not only do they help the person getting the endorsement but it also helps the company. If a company gets a really famous person than their product will be sold more that it was before. It would help the player because he would get more famous and he would make more endorsement deals which will make him a lot of money.
I think in the article that Armstrong is doing a great job with being a very great talented athlete, even with him having cancer & trying to battle that out. He has won so many times, and probably has approved too. He might have cancer but he is still willing to compete in what he loves to do. Armstrong is marketable by the protein bars that he invents or sales. The article talks about who they compare Armstrong too, and it fits him that he eats those bars. I think that customers will notice him.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts about endorsement deals in general, is that their a good idea to me. I feel that's how they make their money. By providing and selling their product that customers might want to buy after seeing this athlete eats it. All that money comes in hand with all these bright ideas.

I appprove of Armstrong's approach to his endorsement deals. He has chosen to endorse smaller name companoies such as Honey Stingers, because it is a brand he beleieves in rather than a big name brand that will make him more money. By doing so the smaller name companies benefit greatly, and have seen expedential increases in their sales since Armstrong's name was put behind it. Armstrong is also endorsed by a few big name companies such as Nike which only helps him more.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsements are great! They help to market big name athletes as well the companies that endorse them! They are a win-win situation unless the endorse athlete does something stupid to lose his endorsements, such as Tiger Woods.

At this point, it doesn't seem like Armstrong is interested in marketing himself anymore. He realizes that he has built such a successfull immage, one of a great athlete who has beaten back the world's toughest disease. He doesn't get in trouble with the media and public, and people respect and love him. He also knows that he is set financially and has accomplished so much in his life, so he doesn't really need any more. At this point, he is being wise by putting his good name as a stamp on companies he believes in, not just the corporations offering the highest-dollar contracts.
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals are a good thing for all who participate. The high dollar athletes can sign huge contracts to make a lot of money with really little work. LeBron can film a few commercials and sign his name on some products and make much more in a year from Nike than he is paid by the NBA. Also, the company which signs the figure, which isn't always an athlete but sometimes an actor or other role model, draws in a lot more business and attention. For example, Wrangler jeans probably wouldn't be close to where it is today without the advertisements featuring NFL QB Brett Favre. This is because fans of that person become incilined to buy a product associated with them.

lance armstrong is know as one of the best athele to man kind. we reconize him as one of the best becouse he prove him self that even doe he has cancer he can still be a great athele and a role model for many young people. he prove this by in the racing bikes with many competitors. His carrier is succeful as he travels around the world and race for a passion.
ReplyDeletearmstrong endorsement deals in general are very succelful becouse the products he and his company sell are benificial to the custumers. the resond why it benift the custumer becouse argstrong makes product that the custumer would buy and he hears if they want and makes them their way. the one who benifts the most is the athele thats wering the product becouse he's the one who need's it the most for most of games or races.
Lance Armstrong is a very marketable person. The fact that he's chosen to partner with a small company could mean one of two things. Either, he has a smart agent/adviser that knows how people will see this act, or Armstrong cares about the product and believes it to be a good product. This partnership is interpreted by most people as the latter. I believe most people support Armstrong because of what he's accomplished and what he has gone through. Overall this is a good idea for Armstrong's image.
ReplyDeleteI think endorsement deals are 100% about the money. Most endorsements are to raise profits for a product, and to raise more money for whoever endorses the product. The very few others (like Armstrong) are to help a company in need to grow at a much faster rate, with no hope for return, but for progress of the company. Endorsements deals are very important for most products to grow. Endorsement deals are very important to keep the market steady. The products get back up money to keep them going and help in development. Both sides benefit from these deals, but the side that gets the longer stick depends on the deal. Some deals could be better for the endorser, and others better for the company being endorsed. Endorsements are important for the economy in general for everyone included.

i feel that lance armstrong is a genuine guy, hes trying to help the smaller potential buisnesses. thats cool that hes not just signing endorsements with big companies that dont really need any help with their marketing. now the fact that hes signed with a beer company is straight too, people who have problems with that need to mind their own. like in the articles it said that people didnt think it fitted his image, but he even stated that hes likes drinking beer all time.
ReplyDeletein signing endorsements im not too sure who benefits the most, but i do know that theres money coming in. so basically it benefits both parties, the endorser and the endorsee if that makes any sense. endorsements are good most of the time depending on what you do. for example, if youre tiger woods you dont want to sign a deal with an alcohol company, but hes already looked down on in the first place. so you just have to be careful with what youre signing into.
I think that what Lance is doing by marketing himself is very professional of him. A lot of celebrities constantly have to be in the spotlight. By joining smaller businesses it makes him look better and so full of himself. Plus, the more he makes a difference and helps businesses the better he looks to other people. People always look more professional to me when they worry about their image and do what's right for them.
ReplyDeleteEndorsements deals are a good thing because the celebrity definitely benefits from it. When a person wheres an item of clothing or an accessory from a company, they make so much money by just advertising the company's product. But, the company also benefits because when celebrity's wear their product people want to buy it if a celebrity has it. So, the more product people buy the more money the company makes. So, I think that endorsements are a good thing because both people benefit from it.

Lance Armstrong is one of the biggest athletes in his sport and one of the most famous athletes of all time. Lance has created a very positive image around himself and he knows it. I think its a very humble thing for an athlete of his status to go on a endorse the smaller companies to help boost their popularity. The idea of him helping out these small time companies reflects his everyday life as he competed for trophies and his own life he must now compete with the bigger companies. He has taken an underdog role in his marketing strategy but as always he will compete until he succeeds.
ReplyDeleteEndorsement deals are a good thing for athletes and companies. When you have an opportunity to sell a product through a famous figure the chances of succeeding are very high. I believe that companies benefit the most from endorsement deals because for a couple of million dollars they will put out a product through an athlete that will catch the attention of millions of people worldwide. A commercial with an athlete will last 30 seconds but the end result will last for years and the product will continue to sell.
